Spring has sprung!
Coming up! Fabric for the UK, wallpaper is back (apparently it went away) and a new collection for April.
Yes, Spring is officially here (in the Netherlands anyway) and the tulips are starting to poke through alongside the daffodils. Oh, there's something so very uplifting about this time of year but even more so with everything the world has gone through in 2020.
It feels like a ray hope is wrapped up in the rays of sunshine, making the days a little bit more joyful.
As promised, here's a lovely picture of last month's competition winner, Renee Dennis Simmons from Alabama. She chose the 'MEDELLIN' tote bag from the SOUTH AMERICA collection and as you can see she couldn't be happier.

So, as you know, last month I launched my fabric shop with SPOONFLOWER which I'm pleased to say is getting a great reaction from so many of you sewers and I'm really looking forward to seeing your finished projects. For those of you in the UK I was very conscious of the additional costs for shipping due to the turmoil of Brexit and so now you can buy the very same colourful designs from WOVEN MONKEY that are based in Derbyshire. I shall be continuing to add my designs to both of my printing partners so keep following me on my social media to keep up-to-date with all the new additions.
Some of you will know, that my husband and I, like so many of you out there at the moment, are in the middle of renovating our house. And with this comes the decision about decorating. It's obvious from my designs and paintings that I'm all about bright colours but I'm not sure that we could live with all the walls in the full, rainbow spectrum.
I remember as a child growing up in the 70's that loud, clashing-coloured wallpaper was very popular and then for a long time it fell out of fashion, thankfully. We were then introduced to the 'feature' wall where a brighter colour was brought in to liven up the room. Well now, it seems that wallpaper is also having a resurgence, especially designer wallpaper that is also being used as a 'feature'.
