April in space......?

Coming up! New Collections, New Shop and a New Giveaway!
That's a lot of NEW stuff!

Well for many of us in the Western hemisphere, I don't need to tell you that April can be a bit changeable as far as the weather is concerned but so far, this year, I've never seen anything like it. To say 'A girl doesn't know what to wear', is an understatement. We've literally, had four seasons in one hour....every hour. I can honestly say my hot flushes are in a state of confusion, to match my head! But that aside, it does mean with the changing weather brings changes in the garden and the arrival of our annuaisitors, Mr and Mrs Duckface (a pair of ducks that hang out in our pond for two weeks every year) the Frog Chorus (noisy little blighters that are practising for their grand finale in September) and Mr Batty Bat (a personal favourite who eats all the mosquitos). It won't be long now before we dust off the garden furniture and start enjoying the lovely, long evenings in a comfy chair with a glass of wine and those bloody frogs that just won't shut up!

Well, it's all been rather busy at PGHQ. I've been thinking long and hard about my presence on my Redbubble shop and have decided to go in a slightly different direction. RB has been very good to me but as many of you will know that use it regularly, it's a huge market and my designs can easily get lost amongst all the other artists on there so I still plan to keep my shop there for those of you who love using it but I now also have my own personal shop that means I'm not competing with anybody else.
I'm still using the Print-on-Demand (POD) business model so that allows me to focus on designing and not worry about logistics, stock taking and manufacturing. It also means I have more control over how my shop looks and any special offers I want to apply. The design of the store is nice and simple and very user-friendly and all printing is provided by Threadless, a company currently based in the USA and Australia. They are planning to expand into Europe so I'll let you know the good news, when it happens.
And with the launch of my new shop comes a 15% DISCOUNT across the store* And I'm very excited to announce that you will also see that I am supporting various different charities with 5% of my profit being donated to, amongst others, Trans Lifeline, World Wildlife Fund and Apex for Youth. This has always been at the back of my mind to be able to set up donations from my business and now I'm in a position to do so.
You can follow the links from my website or just click here.
With all the excitement going on with my new shop I also decided to enter a design competition that SPOONFLOWER have been hosting over the past few weeks, that had a space theme. Unfortunately, I left it till the last minute and due to a PC meltdown, I missed the deadline. However, that hasn't stopped me from creating a full collection of fabrics that can accompany the original SPACE SUSHI design. All the planets come from my paintings and it was such fun creating it, I'm planning on entering some other design competitions, so keep your fingers crossed.

For those of you who are quilters or if you like to use a coordinated background or lining in your sewing project then have a look at the SPACE SUSHI COLLECTION which will available to buy from Monday 19th April.
New designs this months include the DAISY CHAIN collection in a variety of colours and it's gorgeous. I initially designed this as an accompanying design to go in the SUMMER FESTIVAL collection but then I started adding some more colours and it became it's own collection! So now you can either buy it as a ready made item or as fabric. And as you can see, it also comes as a bandana/gaiter. You can find the ready made items here and you can find the fabric here
Before I go, make sure you're following me on my socials as I shall be announcing another GIVEAWAY, next week. One lucky winner will be receiving something summery from the DAISY COLLECTION and you will able to find all the details on my website.
Don't forget to check out my new shop as the 15% discount is on till 21st April. And if you have any questions about any of my designs, feel free to drop me a line.
Well, that was fun! Thank you once again for all your love and support and don’t forget you can follow me on Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook.
See you soon, PG x
